DDC DRESS CODE
Delaware Dance Company maintains a dress code to support safe movement, proper technique, focus, and a professional learning environment. Appropriate dancewear allows instructors to clearly observe alignment and helps dancers develop good habits from the start.
Please refer to the information below for specific dress code requirements by Division/level.

General Dress Code Guidelines
Dancewear should be clean, well-fitting, and appropriate for the class style
Hair must be neatly secured and pulled back from the face for all classes
Jewelry should not be worn in class
Dance shoes should be worn only inside the studio
Where to Shop
Dancers may purchase dancewear from any vendor. Delaware Dance Company partners with Eurotard as a suggested option and receives support through this partnership.
Items purchased through the Eurotard Dress Code Solutions link may be shipped directly to your home or picked up at participating dancewear retailers.
Children’s Division Dress Code

Light pink leotard (any style; skirt optional)
Tights - All girls should wear tights that compliment their skin tone and match their ballet shoes
Pink or skin-tone ballet slippers
Black tap shoes

Light blue leotard (any style; skirt optional)
Pink or skin-tone ballet shoes
Black tap shoes (for combo classes)

Pre-Professional Division Dress Code

All girls should wear tights that compliment their skin tone and match their ballet shoes
Ballet uniform colors supersede all other uniforms
Students do not need to change uniforms for back-to-back classes
Jazz students must wear black jazz shoes and jazz pants or leggings over their ballet tights in Jazz class.
For performances, dancers should wear microfiber tights in a tone that complements their skin and matches their shoes

Girls: hair in a neat bun
Boys: hair secured and pulled back from the face
All other classes: hair neatly pulled back from the face
