Delaware Dance Company

Academic Year & Class Season

Delaware Dance Company offers classes during the academic year based on a 34-class season. Tuition and enrollment are structured around this full season to support consistent training and development.

Enrollment & Withdrawal Policy

We hope all students will remain enrolled for the full academic year. Families who wish to withdraw must provide written notice at least four (4) weeks prior to the student’s final class.

Withdrawal notices must be submitted in writing to the DDC office. Tuition obligations remain in effect during the four-week notice period.

Medical Absences

In cases of temporary medical disability, students may make up missed classes during the school year once cleared to return.

  • Make-up classes should be completed as soon as possible

  • Scheduling make-up classes is the responsibility of the student or family

  • No refunds or credits are issued for classes missed due to illness or injury

If a student will miss four (4) or more consecutive weeks due to a medical condition, a temporary tuition suspension may be granted for the affected period. Written documentation from a physician is required and must indicate:

  • The start of the medical disability

  • Clearance to return to class

Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in dance training involves inherent risks of illness and injury. By enrolling in Delaware Dance Company programs, students and families acknowledge and accept these risks.

Participants agree to release and hold harmless Delaware Dance Company from any and all claims, costs, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Delaware Dance Company.

This release applies to all classes, rehearsals, performances, and related activities.

Photo & Video Release

Delaware Dance Company may photograph or videotape students during classes, rehearsals, and performances for educational, archival, and promotional purposes.

Families who do not wish to grant permission for their child to appear in photos or videos must notify the DDC office in writing. Without written notice, consent is assumed.
