DDC SUMMER PROGRAMS 2026

Delaware Dance Company is pleased to offer an engaging and inspiring lineup of Summer 2026 programs for dancers ages 4 through Advanced levels.

This summer includes:

All week-long programs conclude with a fully costumed on-stage performance at the end of the week (except Ballet Bootcamp).

Ballet Bootcamp

June 22-26th, 2026 |  Ages 10 and up

  • Back by Popular Demand!

    Launch your summer with a focused week of concentrated technical training. Ballet Bootcamp is designed for dancers who want to strengthen their foundation, refine pointe work, and build stamina before the full summer workshop season begins.

    Each day includes:

    • Ballet technique

    • Pointe class

    • Pilates

    • Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)

    • Variations and specialty conditioning classes

    Faculty includes:

    • Miss Nichole Masters

    • Miss Sarah Maida

    • Special Guest (TBA)

    Please note: There is no performance for this week, allowing dancers to focus fully on training and development.

  • TUITION

    Full Week: $375.00

    While enrollment in the full workshop is encouraged, participants may choose to register for one class per day, Monday- Thursday, at the Class Only rate.  

    • New students pay a $40 registration fee.
      Multi-week and family discounts available.

One-Week Themed Dance Camps

July 13-31st, 2026 |  Ages 4-10 years old

  • Give your child a week filled with movement, music, creativity, and confidence-building — all culminating in a fully costumed on-stage performance.

    DDC’s One-Week Dance Camps are thoughtfully designed for both new and returning dancers. No previous experience is required, making this the perfect introduction to dance in a structured, joyful, and supportive environment.

    What Campers Do Each Day

    • Two dance technique classes

    • Two choreography sessions

    • Two craft/educational sessions

    • Snack & lunch breaks

    • Movie/rest time

    WHAT TO BRING

  • THEMES:

    • Week 1 (July 13–17) – “Swifty Summer”

    • Week 2 (July 20–24) – “Wicked”

    • Week 3 (July 27–31) – “K-Pop Celebration”

    DAILY SCHEDULE:

    • Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    • Friday: Performance at 6:00 PM at Mitchell Hall

    • Drop-off as early as 8:30 AM

    • Pick-up as late as 5:30 PM

      • Included in tuition (no additional cost)

    Half Day Option: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    (Note: All campers stay full day on Friday for performance preparation.)

    EXMPLE SCHEDULE:

    • 10:00-10:45 dance class

    • 10:45-11:00 snack/break

    • 11:00-11:45 activity

    • 11:45-12:30 rehearsal

    • 12:30-1:30 lunch/break

    • 1:30-2:15 dance class

    • 2:15-3:00 activity

    • 3:00-3:15 break

    • 3:15-4:00 rehearsal

    PERFORMANCE

    On the Friday of each week, campers are transported by school bus to the theatre for dress rehearsal and performance. After the 6:00 PM show, campers are dismissed to families by group.

  • TUITION

    Full Day: $375 per week
    Half Day: $250 per week

    New students pay a $40 registration fee.
    Multi-week and family discounts available.

First Focus Workshops

July 13-31st, 2026 | Ages 10–12 | DDC Ballet 2 / 2X

  • DDC’s First Focus Workshops are ideal for dancers who have developed a serious interest in their training and are ready for a more structured, intensive-style experience. This program is designed to support the transition from recreational study to more advanced technical development.

    Schedule & Logistics

    Workshops meet Monday through Friday at the DDC studios in Newark.

    • Program Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    • Early Drop-Off: 8:30 AM

    • Late Pick-Up: 5:30 PM

    • Friday Pick-Up: Following the evening performance

    All dancers under the age of 12 must be signed in and out daily.

    Eligibility

    Dancers must have completed at least two years of dedicated ballet training (DDC Ballet 2/2X or equivalent).

    Daily Structure

    Each day includes:

    • Two technique classes (Ballet or Ballet plus an additional style)

    • Two choreography sessions

    • Preparation of two pieces for Friday’s performance

    • A daily dance education class

    Educational topics may include:

    • Hair preparation

    • Proper stretching and conditioning

    • Preparing for pointe work

    • Sewing pointe shoes

    • Nutrition for dancers

    • Dance etiquette and professionalism

    First Focus provides young dancers with the structure, discipline, and performance experience necessary to take the next step in their training journey.

    Full Week: $400.00

  • In addition to DDC’s faculty, First Focus Workshops feature guest artists who share their knowledge and experience with our dancers. These visiting instructors bring new ideas, energy, and artistic perspectives to the studio.

Intensive Workshops

July 13-31st, 2026 | Ages 12+ | DDC Ballet 3/ 3X and up

  • DDC’s Intensive Dance Workshops are designed for committed dancers who are ready to deepen their technical foundation, expand their artistry, and experience the discipline of focused summer training.

    Workshops are offered at two levels:

    Intermediate Level
    Ages 12–14 | DDC Levels 3/3X

    Advanced Level
    Ages 13+ | DDC Levels 4 through Advanced

    These workshops provide a structured, conservatory-style experience that balances technique, choreography, and performance preparation in a supportive and motivating environment.

    Daily Training Includes:

    • Two technique classes (Ballet/Pointe and additional styles)

    • Two choreography sessions

    • Preparation of two works for Friday evening’s performance

    Dancers refine their strength, musicality, performance quality, and rehearsal skills throughout the week, culminating in a fully staged performance showcasing their progress.

    Members of DDC’s Performing Company and Youth Dance Ensemble participate in a dedicated workshop week designed specifically for company dancers as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Summer Evening Session

  • DDC’s Six-Week Summer Evening Session is the perfect option for dancers looking for flexibility during the summer months.

    This session is ideal for:

    • Young dancers wanting to try a class without a long-term commitment

    • Current students maintaining strength and technique over the summer

    • Dancers seeking additional training in a focused, short-term format

    Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays over a six-week period, providing consistent training while allowing families to enjoy summer schedules.

    Whether your dancer is exploring something new or continuing their training, the Summer Evening Session offers structure, consistency, and growth in a manageable format.

  • TUITION

    Tuition for the full six-week session ranges from:

    • $130 for a 45-minute class

    • Up to $230 for a two-hour class
