YOUNG CHILDREN’S DIVISION

YOUNG CHILDREN’S DIVISION

Ages 3–4

Before introducing the structured discipline of ballet, it is essential to cultivate a child’s natural abilities. The Young Children’s Division at Delaware Dance Company is designed for children ages 3–4 and offers a joyful introduction to movement in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Age placement is based on the child’s age as of September 1.

Classes combine creative movement, music, and imaginative play to support early physical and emotional development. Young dancers build large motor skills, coordination, rhythm, and basic dance vocabulary while developing confidence, focus, and self-expression. Instruction is structured yet playful, allowing children to learn at their own pace while gaining important classroom and social skills.

No prior dance experience is required.
