TAMOYA TAYLOR

Tamoya Taylor has studied dance since the tender age of two and attended the University of Arts in Philadelphia. She graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Modern dance. She has studied under dance greats Kim Bears-Bailey (Philadanco), Zane Booker (SLJ), Christine Cox (BalletX), Crystal Harris (Rennie Harris Pure Movement), just to name a few.

Tamoya has also traveled with her love of dance across the country to perform at various venues in Las Vegas and New York. She has also performed on the Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines. Most recently, Tamoya traveled to several municipalities in South Africa to premiere a collaborative new work and teach local dance students.

Tamoya’s dedication to dance education includes working as a dance studio teacher, choreographer, and competition judge. Her passion for all things movement related has led her to Zumba and Yoga certifications as she hopes to reach hearts and bodies through multiple modes of body exploration. Following Martha Graham’s lead, she truly believes the body is a sacred garment that should be treated with honor and dance is one of the highest honors your body deserves.
